5 Easy Steps to the Perfect Lipstick Application for the Perfect Kissable Lips

Having soft, supple, kissable lips can enhance the overall look of your face and give you a sexy appearance. Just remember how famous Angelina Jollie is and what her trademark feature is: Yes, her lips!

With the following 5 easy steps, you can achieve the perfect lipstick color application and make sure your lips look their best at all times.

1. Choose the best lip color for your skin tone and hair color (Look for my next article: Easy tips on how to successfully match your lipstick to your hair and skin shade)

2. Ensure your lips are very smooth and soft by applying either a lip moisturizer or a vitamin E stick.

3. Prime your lips with a lip primer to ensure a longlasting lipstick application and smooth out the skin in that area.

4. Use a sponge or small brush to dab powder foundationaround the outside of the lips. This will keep the lipstick color from seeping outside your lip line and will make your lips look fuller by creating a subtle contrast around the lip line.

4. Line your lips with a lip pencil that matches the lipstick color. Using a lip pencil will create a barrier for the lipstick so it wont bleed outside the line and you can even slightly enhance the contour of your lips by drawing a perfect line, being careful not to make them look too fake. Then fill in the lips with the matching lipstick color.

5. Lastly, blot the lips with tissue. Blotting the lips will give get rid of excess emolients which will prevent your lipstick from smearing.

Do you have a "hard to match" skin tone?

As a makeup artist, the most common question I get asked by my clients is how to achieve the perfect foundation shade that will match their skin tone perfectly.

Some ethnicities like african-american, indian, asian and even some hispanic women have a really hard time finding a foundation shade that will blend in naturally with their own skin color. And I totally understand their concern because how can anyone look attractive when your face is two shades lighter than your neckline or your chest is tan and your face is ghostly white?

I'll give you my little secret for achieving a perfect complexion everytime with perfect coverage, no matter what your skin shade is. I use a foundation palatte called RCMA. RCMA is a professional product with very high pigmentation. It is cream based so it's spreads easily and it contains no perfume, mineral oils or lanolin.

It comes in a great variety of colors and it's GREAT for mixing so by sliding your foundation brushover one, two, or even three shades you can be certain to achieve your perfect shade everytime.

The palettes come in full size or in an economy size called the RCMA Sampler Foundation Palette. The smaller size should be good enough for anyone who's not a makeup artist. It should last you for a while.

These palettes are also elegantly packaged in a slick black case with the RCMA logo engraved in golden letters.

How to get perfect eyebrows!

Properly shaped eyebrows are an important element in the overall look and expression of your face, as they frame your face and can make your eyes and face more or less expressive. With these few simple tips you can achieve perfect eyebrows. You will need the following;

1. a long pencil
2. a mirror
3. a good pair of tweezers
4. a pair of scissors
5. an eyebrow brush

To determine how to shape the eyebrows, take the pencil and put it at the beginning of your inner eye, going straight up vertically. This is where the eyebrow should begin. Any hairs going outside this line can be tweezed.

Now looking straight ahead take the pencil and place it vertically on the outside of the iris of your eye, that is the edge of the dark circle surrounding the colored part of your eye. This should be the highest point of your eyebrow or your arch point. So leave the hair line a bit thicker from the bridge of the nose to the arch and tweeze up to the arch making as straight a line as you can.

Next, place the pencil at outside edge of your nose to the end of your eye. This is where your eyebrow should end. So tweeze a thinner line from the high point of your arch to this last point.

Lastly, take the eyebrow brushand brush your brows downwards. You can trim carefully trim all the hairs that are too long. You can now brush the eyebrows upwards and do the same thing, trimming all the hairs that fall too much over the eyebrow line.

Dolce & Gabbana makeup?

I recently freelanced for the Dolce & Gabbana makeup line. Did you guys even know D&G sold makeup? Me neither! Their line is relatively new and I have to give them # 1 in presentation.

The products look elegant and chick and are beautifully packaged. Yet, I was not impressed with the quality of their eye shadows. The pigments looked strong and vibrant in the packaging but almost went on invisible when applied. Another makeup artist that has been using the line for a bit assured me that they are better used with an eye base (which D&G does not carry at the moment).

The lipsticks, however, were sooooo creamy and yummy I wish I could have added their whole collection to my makeup case! Vibrant colors with lots of shades, beautiful reds, pinks and browns and a VERY creamy consistency (and did I mention the packing looks great?).

In addition to lipsticks and eye shadows, they carry mascara, powder foundation, concealer, lip liners, eye liners and bronzers.

Prices range about the same as they do for MAC products.

Remove the product using wet sponges.

Remove the product rinsing with plenty of warm water.

3. Decongestant and Skin Ph-Regulating Phase with Liz Mary®'s Toner Revitalizing Caviar

Start applying Liz Mary®'s Toner Revitalizing Caviar with cottons on the face, neck and neckline.

It has a decongestant and moisturizing power which contributes to regulate the skin pH. This helps us to prepare our skin for the next phase of stimulation. Invigorate the skin with light clicks. It normalizes skins that are mixed and prone to be greasy, and disinfects the pores thus clarifying the skin.

4. Nutrition and Hydration Phase with Liz Mary®'s Mask-Caviar

Proceed by placing in a container a certain amount of Liz Mary®'s Mask-Caviar. Using a brush, apply the facial mask in the area of the face, neck and neckline. Apply from the bottom up in the direction of the muscles.

Keep putting the product on until the mask is uniform. Then cover your eyes with moistened cotton. Next cover your face with gauze (if desired, it is not essential). Let it on for 30 to 35 minutes. (Its results can be seen with greater effect on stressed and fatigued skin).

Gently withdraw the gauze from the bottom up, and the rest of the mask is removed with wet sponges. After that, use paper towels to dry your skin, and proceed to give a brief massage in the area with light clicks. Right after, we can see the instant change on the degree of moisture and luxury of our face.

5. Antioxidant Phase with Liz Mary®'s Vitaserum C

Apply Liz Mary®'s Vitaserum C on your face dispersing it evenly with a small facial brush or cotton. Massage gently to its full absorption.

Vitaserum C helps us to nourish enzymes and protect our skin by stimulating cellular replacement and oxygenation of the skin tissue.

6. Repairing Phase with Liz Mary®'s Moisturizer Enriched with Caviar

Liz Mary®'s Moisturizer Enriched with Caviar is a moisturizing cream enriched with caviar. It has been designed to nourish and moisturize all types of skins.

Using a brush, apply across your face, eyes, neck and chest leaving it on for 15 minutes until it completely penetrates your skin.

7. Protection Phase with Liz Mary®'s Sunblock SPF 30 Caviar-Line

Apply Liz Mary®'s sunscreen with a gentle massage in circles until it fully penetrates your skin.

The use of sunscreen is essential in any type of treatment. It is recommended to use it 2 or 3 times a day. (This product is applied whenever the facial treatment is applied).

8. Final Phase with Liz Mary®'s Age Defying Formula

Liz Mary®'s Age Defying Formula (anti-aging formula) is used every day as a night cream before going to bed.

It is applied by gently rubbing or clicking the face so that it generates a total relaxation of tissue, thus softening, protecting and regenerating damaged skin.
