With the following 5 easy steps, you can achieve the perfect lipstick color application and make sure your lips look their best at all times.

1. Choose the best lip color for your skin tone and hair color (Look for my next article: Easy tips on how to successfully match your lipstick to your hair and skin shade)

2. Ensure your lips are very smooth and soft by applying either a lip moisturizer or a vitamin E stick.

3. Prime your lips with a lip primer to ensure a longlasting lipstick application and smooth out the skin in that area.

4. Use a sponge or small brush to dab powder foundationaround the outside of the lips. This will keep the lipstick color from seeping outside your lip line and will make your lips look fuller by creating a subtle contrast around the lip line.

4. Line your lips with a lip pencil that matches the lipstick color. Using a lip pencil will create a barrier for the lipstick so it wont bleed outside the line and you can even slightly enhance the contour of your lips by drawing a perfect line, being careful not to make them look too fake.
